Introduction
Studio mode is a setting in Gamma's classic Create with AI generator. With Studio mode on, every slide is created as a single AI-generated image, with the text built into the picture, in an illustration style by default.
🌀 Insight: Studio mode is best for visual, image-led presentations and social posts.
How to Use Studio Mode
Step 1: Open the Classic Generator
On your Gamma dashboard, click Use classic generator, then select Generate.
Step 2: Choose Your Format
Select Presentation or Social.
Step 3: Turn On Studio
Click the slide design mode dropdown (it shows Classic by default), then select Studio.
Step 4: Choose How Much Text You Want
Under the prompt box, you can select Just vibes, Minimal text, A little context, or Plenty of text.
Step 5: Generate
Describe what you'd like to make, then click the blue Generate outline button.
Editing Studio Mode Slides
Studio slides have limited editing options. Since each slide is a single image, you can only:
Ask Agent to edit the image: describe what you'd like changed, and Agent regenerates the slide. Each regeneration creates a new image, so it uses credits again.
Edit the text: click Edit text on any slide to pull the built-in text out into editable text boxes over the image.
🔷 Note: You can't move, resize, or restyle individual elements, change layouts, or swap out images on a Studio slide. If you need that kind of flexibility, choose Classic in the slide design mode dropdown instead.
How Studio Mode Uses Credits
There's no per-slide charge. You only pay for the images, one per slide.
Each image costs credits based on your image model.
Regenerating a slide or requesting an edit with Agent creates a new image, so it uses credits again.
