Introduction
🌀 Insight: Page Setup in Gamma allows you to customise the structure and appearance of your gamma.
With this feature, you can:
Modify slide sizes and layouts.
Change backgrounds.
Optimise SEO metadata.
Configure export settings.
Step 1: Access Page Setup
Open your gamma.
Click the three-dot menu (…) in the top-right corner.
Select Page Setup.
Step 2: Adjust Slide Size
In the Page Setup menu, locate the Slide Size dropdown.
Select a fixed height option to maintain consistency.
This setting ensures your content fits within specified dimensions, ideal for exports such as PowerPoint slides or social media posts.
How to Modify Backgrounds
Step 1: Enable Background Display in Present Mode & Exports
By default, Gamma blurs out the background in Present Mode and exports. To keep the background visible:
Go to Page Setup.
Toggle on Show Slide Backdrops.
Step 2: Change the Background
To customize the background:
Click the Background tab in Page Setup.
Choose one of the following options:
Upload an image from your device.
Search for an image online.
Select an Unsplash image.
Use a GIF as a background.
Generate an AI image.
FAQs & Common Issues
Why isn’t my slide height consistent?
Ensure you have selected a fixed height from the Slide Size dropdown in Page Setup.
Why is my background blurred when presenting?
Toggle on Show Slide Backdrops in Page Setup to keep the background visible.
Can I set a custom background for individual slides?
Backgrounds set in Page Setup apply to the entire gamma. To customize individual slides, use slide styling options instead, where you can choose a specific ‘backdrop’ for that slide.
