Introduction
Slide styling controls how each slide looks: its background color or image, accent images, and how content sits on the slide. How you get to these settings depends on whether your gamma was made in Gamma 5 or before it.

How to Style a Slide in Gamma 5
Click the slide to select it.
Use the options in the toolbar at the top of the editor:
Card background color – Set a solid background color.
Background image – Add or swap a background image.
Image fit – Choose how the background image fills the slide.
Change focus point – Choose which part of the image stays in view.
Headers & footers – Add a logo, text, or page numbers (Pro plans and above).
To change fonts, colors, or your logo across the whole gamma, click Styles at the top of the editor.
To restyle the whole gamma at once, click Agent at the top of the editor and ask for a new look. The agent keeps your content and changes the design around it.
Gammas Made Before Gamma 5: Using the Styling Menu
In gammas made before Gamma 5, slide settings live in the Styling menu. Click Styling (the palette icon) in the top-left corner of the slide to open it.
How to Use Accent Images
Open Styling on the slide you want to edit.
At the top of the menu, choose a layout:

Top
Left
Right
Background
Next to Accent image, click Edit to change the image, or click the trash icon to remove it.

How to Use a Background Image Overlay
If you want the background of your slide to be a photo (instead of a solid color), you can use this method:
In Styling, choose the Background layout.
This unlocks styling options - select between Frosted, Faded, or Clear overlay styles.
Adjust the overlay intensity anywhere from 0%–100% to change how much the background image shows through.
Finally, choose your overlay color to match your theme or improve contrast.

How to Make a Full-Bleed Slide
Want your slide to take over the entire screen, edge-to-edge? That’s a full-bleed slide.
In Styling, turn on Full bleed.
How to Align Your Content and Set Its Width
In Styling, use Content alignment to place content at the top, center, or bottom of the slide.
Use Content width to switch between a medium and large content area.
Click Edit next to Headers & footers to add a logo, text, or page numbers (Pro plans and above).

Use large fonts in your design theme for easy reading.
Limit to one idea per slide for clarity on smaller screens.

FAQs & Common Issues
Can I apply styling to all slides at once?
To change fonts, colors, or your logo everywhere, use Styles at the top of the editor.
For bigger design changes, click Agent and describe what you want, for example "add a right-side image to every slide" or "give this deck a darker look."
You can also duplicate a slide you've styled and swap in new content.
I don't see the Styling icon on my slide. Where did it go?
Gammas made in Gamma 5 don't have the Styling icon. Click the slide to select it, and the styling options appear in the toolbar at the top of the editor.
What’s the difference between background color and background image?
Background color is a solid color fill, while a background image lets you set a photo or visual behind your content. You can use overlays to help text stand out when using background images.
Why can’t I see my text clearly on a background image?
Try a different image with more empty space, or switch to a solid background color for higher contrast.
In gammas made before Gamma 5, you can also adjust the overlay style or intensity in Styling.
Does changing slide styling affect the rest of the gamma?
No. Slide styling only changes the slide you're editing. To change the whole gamma, use Styles.
How do I make my slides look more consistent?
Use the same alignment, background style, and image positioning across key sections - or create a styled slide you like and duplicate it as a starting point.
