Introduction
Email changes are not natively supported in Gamma today. We strongly recommend signing up for Gamma with an email address that you will have longterm access to, such as a personal email address. While there is a workaround to change your email address, it is not a simple process. This article walks you through the workaround steps to switch your email address if you're on a free plan.

How to Change Your Email Address on your Free Gamma Account
Step 1: Invite your email address
Go to Settings & Members in the bottom left-hand side panel > Members and invite your new email address to the workspace.
Step 2: Accept the invitation
Log out of your Gamma account with the old email, and then check your new email inbox and accept the workspace invite. You can sign in using Google or with email/password.
Step 3: Transfer access
Log out of Gamma with your new email address, and then log back into Gamma with your old account, open each gamma you've created, click the Share button, choose Collaborate, and give Full access to your new account. You will need to do this manually for each and every one of your documents.
Additionally, ensure that you navigate to the Gammas > All section within the workspace to verify all presentations have been successfully shared, as they might not appear in Recently Viewed immediately.
Step 4: Assign admin rights
While still logged into your old account, make the new user an admin of the workspace.

FAQs & Common Issues
How can I recover access to my free Gamma account if I no longer have access to the registered email address?
If you lose access to the email address associated with your Gamma account, there is not a way to recover your account at this time. We recommend signing up with an email address that you will have access to indefinitely, such as a personal email address. Customer Support cannot assist with account recovery, but we can assist with cancelling the automatic renewal of the subscription.
What if I’m on a paid subscription?
If you’re on a paid subscription, changing your email address will follow a different, more complex process.
