Gamma makes it easy to add, edit, and style text within your gamma.

How to Edit Text in Gamma
Step 1: Select a Slide to Edit
Open your gamma.
Click on any slide to begin editing.
Start typing directly into the slide.
Step 2: Format Your Text
Highlight the text you want to format.
A text formatting menu will automatically appear above.
Choose from the available formatting options:
Font size – Adjust text size using the menu or by typing / and selecting a size.
Font color – Pick from predefined colors or create a custom theme for additional options.
Text formatting – Apply bold, italic, underline, or strikethrough.
Alignment – Align text left, center, or right.
Additional Text Features
Adding Footnotes
Highlight the text where you want to add a footnote.
Click Add Footnote from the text formatting menu.
A footnote will appear at the bottom of the slide where you can enter your reference.
Adding Links
Highlight the text you want to hyperlink.
Click Insert Link in the text formatting menu.
Enter the URL and confirm.
Using Lists & Blockquotes
Select text and choose bulleted or numbered lists from the formatting menu.
For blockquotes, type > before your text or select Blockquote from the menu.

Can I apply custom colors to my text?
Yes! You can select from available colors or create a custom theme for more options.
Can I set an exact point size for my text?
Yes, in Gamma 5. Text sizes are real point sizes. The sizes in Styles are the default for your whole gamma, and you can change selected text from the formatting menu.
Text can still shrink to fit a slide. Scale content to fit is on by default for 16:9 and 4:3 slides, and it can shrink text to 60% of its size, or down to the Minimum text size you set. To keep your exact sizes, turn it off in Page setup.
In gammas made before Gamma 5, body text uses Small, Normal, or Large in Page setup, relative to the theme, instead of exact point sizes.
How do I change font styles or upload my own font?
Custom fonts are available for all users. You can upload a font through Page Setup.
