Gamma makes it easy to add, edit, and style text within your gamma.
🌀 Insight: With a simple text formatting menu, you can adjust font size, color, alignment, and add elements like links, lists, and footnotes.
How to Edit Text in Gamma
Step 1: Select a Card to Edit
Open your gamma.
Click on any card to begin editing.
Start typing directly into the card.
Step 2: Format Your Text
Highlight the text you want to format.
A text formatting menu will automatically appear above.
Choose from the available formatting options:
Font size – Adjust text size using the menu or by typing
/and selecting a size.Font color – Pick from predefined colors or create a custom theme for additional options.
Text formatting – Apply bold, italic, underline, or strikethrough.
Alignment – Align text left, center, or right.
Additional Text Features
Adding Footnotes
Highlight the text where you want to add a footnote.
Click "Add Footnote" from the text formatting menu.
A footnote will appear at the bottom of the card where you can enter your reference.

Adding Links
Highlight the text you want to hyperlink.
Click "Insert Link" in the text formatting menu.
Enter the URL and confirm.
Using Lists & Blockquotes
Select text and choose bulleted or numbered lists from the formatting menu.
For blockquotes, type "
>" before your text or select "Blockquote" from the menu.

FAQs & Common Issues
Why can’t I edit text on my mobile device?
Currently, Gamma only supports text editing on desktop. Mobile editing is not available yet.
Can I apply custom colors to my text?
Yes! You can select from available colors or create a custom theme for more options.
How do I change font styles or upload my own font?
Custom fonts are available for Pro users. You can upload a font through Page Setup.
