Gamma offers toggles, nested cards, and footnotes to help you structure information efficiently while maintaining readability. This guide explains how to use each feature to improve your document’s organization.
How to Use Footnotes
Footnotes allow you to add supporting information without cluttering your main content. They are useful for citations, extra details, or references.
Step 1: Add a Footnote
Highlight the text where you want to add a footnote.
Click the footnote option from the toolbar or use right-click > Add Footnote.
A footnote section will appear at the bottom of the card.
Paste or type the additional information into the footnote section.
Step 2: Edit or Remove a Footnote
Click inside the footnote section to edit the text.
To remove a footnote, delete the reference in the main content, and it will be removed automatically.
How to Use Toggles
Toggles allow you to collapse and expand sections of content, making your gamma more interactive and easier to scan.
Step 1: Convert Text into a Toggle
Select the text you want to collapse.
Click the toggle option from the toolbar or use right-click > Convert to Toggle.
The text will be converted into a toggle that can be expanded or collapsed.
Step 2: Edit or Delete a Toggle
Click the toggle header to expand or collapse the content.
To delete a toggle, select the entire section and press Delete.
How to Use Nested Cards
Nested cards allow you to embed one card inside another, creating structured sub-sections for related content.
Step 1: Add a Nested Card
Click and drag one card onto another in the main slides.
The card will become nested inside the parent card.
Click the nested card to expand or collapse it within the main content.
Step 2: Navigate Nested Cards
Use the up and down arrow keys to highlight different nested elements inside a card.
Click on a nested card to edit it directly.
Write Directly into a Disclosure
On your keyboard, hit the slash / key and click the toggle, footnote, or nested cards option to immediately begin writing your content.
