How to Edit Content Using Agent
Step 1: Access Agent
Keyboard shortcut: CMD+E on Macs, CTRL+E on Windows.
Open your gamma and navigate to the card you want to edit.
Click on the sparkle icon in the top left corner of the card to open Agent.
Click on the agent button in the upper right corner of your gamma.
Step 2: Use Agent to Edit Your Card or Entire Gamma
Once the Agent chat window opens, Agent can do the following for you:
Search the web for real-time information
Read URLs. For example, "Take this article about company X and create a card about them."
Make edits across all cards at once for consistent updates
Change the theme of the presentation with a simple request
Extract info from images. For example, screenshot an Excel table and ask Agent to recreate it in Gamma so it looks on-brand instead of like an Excel screenshot
Add cards. For example, "Add an executive summary"
Fix spelling and grammar – AI will correct errors and improve readability
Translate text – AI can translate the entire card into another language
Summarize content – AI will generate a concise summary of the card
Use custom commands – Type specific instructions (e.g., "Make this more formal")
Step 3: Apply Changes
Review the various outputs in the Agent chat.
Select the one you like best.
If needed, refine your command and regenerate the edit.
FAQs & Common Issues
Is Agent just Gamma's Chat with AI feature with a new name?
No, Agent is a completely new AI collaborator. Unlike Chat with AI, it can research the web with citations, transform entire presentations, create diagrams and visualizations, understand screenshots and links, and restyle a whole deck quickly.
Why isn’t Agent editing my content?
Ensure you have an active internet connection.
AI does not function while content is being generated - wait for the process to finish.
There are limits to the length of a chat thread in Agent. You may need to start a new chat.
Can I edit Agent generated content manually?
Yes! After Agent makes edits, you can further refine them manually.
Can Agent format my text (bold, italics, lists, etc.)?
Absolutely! However, theme-level changes such as fonts can be only be changed if you change the entire theme. Yes, Agent can change the theme for you.
