What Is Gamma Analytics?
Gamma Analytics is a feature that shows engagement metrics for your shared content. You can see data like slide views, time spent per slide, and unique viewers to better understand how your audience interacts with your gamma.
🔷 Note: Full analytics access is only available to users on the Pro plan or higher. Users on the Free or Plus plan have limited or no access.
How to Track Your Gamma's Performance
Step 1: Open Analytics
Open the gamma you want to analyse.
Click the three-dot menu (…) in the top-right corner.
Select Analytics from the dropdown menu.
Step 2: Review Key Metrics
Once inside the analytics panel, you'll see the following data:
Relative Time Spent Per Slide: Shows which slides your viewers spend the most time on.
Percentage of Views Per Slide: Understand how often each slide is seen.
Slides Viewed: See how far viewers get through your gamma.
Unique Viewers (Last 30 Days): Count of individual users who have viewed your gamma in the past month.
Who Can Access Analytics?
Only collaborators with Full Access to the gamma can view analytics.
You must be on a Pro plan or higher to unlock full analytics capabilities.
Who Appears in the Analytics?
Gamma users who are signed in will appear by name.
Link previews can also appear as an Anonymous Viewer, usually with 0 slides viewed. For example, this can happen when you paste your link into Slack, iMessage, or an email.
🌀 Insight: Anonymous viewers (e.g. those without a Gamma account or those using Incognito Mode) will appear as "Anonymous Viewer."
FAQs & Common Issues
Why can't I see any analytics data?
Make sure you're on the Pro plan or higher.
Check that you have Full Access permissions on the gamma.
Why are most viewers showing up as 'Anonymous Viewer'?
This happens when the viewer doesn’t have a Gamma account or is viewing in incognito/private mode.
Can I export the analytics data?
At this time, Gamma does not support exporting analytics. We recommend manually noting key metrics or taking screenshots.
I didn't share my gamma. Why do I see an Anonymous Viewer?
If your gamma is set so anyone with the link can view it, anyone who has the URL can open it. That includes link previews and automated tools.
An Anonymous Viewer with 0 slides viewed is almost always a link preview, not a person.
To control who can view your gamma, update its access in the Share menu.
Does analytics track views on my published site?
No. Analytics tracks views of your gamma in Gamma, including the editor, share and present links, and embeds.
Views on your published site (gamma.site or a custom domain) aren't included.
To track site traffic, set up Google Analytics.
