What is Create with Agent and how do I use it?
Introduction
Create with Agent is a new way to make a gamma by chatting with our AI agent. Drop in your sources, answer a few smart questions, shape the outline together, and let Gamma build the your presentation, document, or social post.
We released Create with Agent in Lab as a different mode of creation that sits alongside Generate, Paste in text, Create from template, and Import file or URL.
🌀 Insight: Features in Lab are experimental and in development. Releasing these features allow us to get feedback from users while we build out new capabilities. Features in Lab may change and/or may be discontinued.
When should I use Create with Agent?
Use Create with Agent when:
You want to combine multiple sources of information to create your gamma. You can upload PDFs, docs, slide decks, websites, images, or existing gammas.
You want Agent to conduct additional research to supplement your sources.
You want to work on an outline and structure the narrative before Gamma generates the artifact.
You want to choose a specific style for your gamma - minimal, visual, classic, or consultant are the current options.
You want citations from source material.
What can Agent help me do?
You can ask Agent to:
Read material you upload to draw information from them for your gamma.
Cite the source material.
Do research for you.
Edit the outline for you.
Pick a theme for you, or change the visual settings.
Brainstorm ideas to make your message clearer and more engaging.
Tell it to remember instructions for different cards while generating the gamma.
🔹 Note: Agent has access to different tools based on the workflow you’re in. For example, in Imagine, Agent can help you edit images, and in the Create flow, Agent can help you conduct web-based research.
What sources can I bring in?
You can drop any combination of these into the chat:
Text — paste notes, an outline, or a rough draft
PDFs — reports, research, briefs
Documents — Word docs, Google Docs (exported)
Presentations — PowerPoint or existing slide decks
Websites — Agent can read the page from URLs you paste in or do its own web search
Images — screenshots, diagrams, photos
Existing gammas — build on something you've already made
Gamma uses these as the source of truth and cites from them in the output where possible.
What are the deck styles?
Create with Agent introduces four steerable styles:
Minimal — clean, lots of whitespace, sparse text
Visual — image-forward, illustrative, made for visual impact
Classic — the familiar Gamma look, balanced text and visuals
Consultant — dense, structured, data-heavy
Each style affects both layout and writing voice, so the same outline will feel meaningfully different across them.

How do I share feedback or request features?
You can submit wishlist items and feature requests on our product feedback board here. You can also upvote other user suggestions as well!
Does it cost credits?
Using Agent for the outline step does not credits today. However editing a deck with Agent after it’s been generated and/or editing images in Imagine using Agent will continue to charge credits as usual.
Does Create with Agent replace the regular generator?
Not currently — it's an additional mode. Generate, Paste in text, Create from template, and Import file or URL all still work the same way. Pick whichever fits the job.
Can I use my own theme?
Yes. The deck styles steer layout and writing voice; your workspace theme still controls colors and fonts.
How many sources can I add?
You can combine multiple files, links, and pasted text in a single chat. Very large source sets may take longer to process.
What if the outline isn't right?
You can edit the outline manually or use Agent for larger adjustments and brainstorming. The deck will be built against whatever outline you approve and only once you click “Generate”.
Will it cite my sources?
Where possible, yes — Create with Agent pulls facts from your sources and shows where content came from.
