Introduction
Gamma's QR code feature lets you generate scannable links that are easy to embed directly into any gamma. This is especially helpful for presentations, posters, handouts, or events - where users can quickly scan to access content.
What is the QR Code Feature in Gamma?
The QR code feature allows you to create and place a QR code directly inside your gamma, linking to any URL - whether it’s another gamma, your website, a form, or any other resource.
How to Create and Embed a QR Code
Step 1: Access the QR Code Feature
In your gamma, type "/qr code" into any blank block.
Select the QR Code option that appears.
Step 2: Enter the Destination URL
Paste the URL you want the QR code to link to.
Gamma will instantly generate a QR code for that link.
Step 3: Customize and Position the QR Code
You can resize or move the QR code block just like any other image or element in Gamma.
Drag it into a card, place it beside supporting text, or position it within a layout grid for visual balance.
FAQs & Common Issues
Can I link to another gamma with the QR code?
Yes! You can link to any published gamma URL or private link, depending on your sharing settings.
Why isn’t my QR code scanning correctly?
Double-check the URL you’ve entered is valid and complete. Try scanning it from a phone camera to confirm it works.
Can I style or color the QR code?
At this time, QR codes are generated in a standard black-and-white format and cannot be customized.
Do I need to publish the gamma for the QR code to work?
If you're linking to an unpublished gamma or draft, others may not be able to access the content unless they have permission. Ensure the destination URL is publicly accessible if needed.
