If you don’t already own a domain name, Gamma makes it easy to purchase one directly from within your site settings. This guide walks you through how to buy and connect a domain using our registrar partner, Ionos.

What is Custom Domain Purchase in Gamma?
This feature allows Pro users to purchase a domain directly inside the Gamma interface, without needing to leave the platform. Once purchased, the domain will automatically be connected to your published site.
How to Buy a Custom Domain in Gamma
Step 1: Open Site Settings
Open the gamma site you want to connect a domain to.
Click the "..." (three dots) menu in the top-right corner.
Select "Site settings".
Step 2: Click "Get a new domain"
In the Settings tab, scroll until you see the domain section.
Click "Get a new domain".
Step 3: Search & Purchase a Domain via Ionos
You’ll be redirected to the domain purchasing flow, powered by our registrar partner Ionos.
Search for your desired domain.
Follow the steps to complete your purchase.
Important: Your domain will be managed by Ionos. You will receive several emails from them with domain management information. Keep an eye on your inbox (including spam/junk folders).
Once complete, your new domain will be automatically connected to your Gamma site—no manual configuration required.
FAQs & Common Issues
Can I purchase a domain without being on the Pro plan?
No. Domain purchasing is only available to Pro users. Please upgrade your plan to unlock this feature.
What if I don’t receive an email from Ionos?
Check your spam or junk mail folder. If you still don’t receive anything after a few hours, contact Ionos support directly or reach out to Gamma Support for assistance.
Can I use a domain I purchased outside of Gamma?
Yes. If you already own a domain, you can still connect it manually by following our guide on Setting Up a Custom Domain in Gamma.
Will I need to set up DNS records manually?
No. If you purchase your domain through Gamma using Ionos, all the necessary DNS configuration will be handled for you.
