Introduction
In Gamma, you can publish your site on a default gamma.site subdomain or connect your own custom domain (e.g. yourcompany.com). Using a custom domain improves brand visibility and SEO by hosting your site on a branded URL instead of Gamma’s default.
If you’ve already published a site, you can update the domain at any time by following the steps for DNS setup, site configuration, and republishing.
🔷 Note: Custom domains are only available on Pro & Above plans - visit https://gamma.app/pricing to upgrade.
If you don't already have a custom domain, you can purchase one directly within your site settings by checking out:
How to Change Your Gamma Site’s Domain
Step 1: Review Your Existing Domain Setup
Before making changes, consider:
Whether your existing domain already points to other content.
If you want to avoid replacing your current site, use a subdomain instead (e.g.
gamma.yourdomain.com
).
💎 Pro Tip: Avoid downtime by configuring a subdomain before making changes to the root domain.
Step 2: Disconnect Current Domain (if applicable)
If your domain is already connected elsewhere (e.g. to Squarespace or Webflow), you'll need to:
Go to that platform.
Unlink the domain.
Free it up for use in Gamma.

Open your Gamma site.
Click the three-dot menu (…) in the top right corner.
Select Site Settings.

www.yourdomain.com
).Choose Automatic Setup (recommended) or Manual Setup.

Once your domain is connected:
Click Publish to push your site live to the new domain.
FAQs & Common Issues
Can I go back to a gamma.site domain later?
Yes. You can return to your gamma.site subdomain at any time by removing the custom domain under Site Settings.
Why is my site showing a security warning?
After setting up a new domain, SSL certificates may take a few hours to activate. Try again later. If the issue persists after 24 hours, contact Gamma support.
What happens to my old site content?
Once a new domain is connected, your old domain may no longer point to your content. Set up redirects if needed to preserve traffic.
