There are several reasons why you might not be able to connect to Gamma. Below are some of the more common causes and how to resolve them.

False positive threat detection by antivirus software

It's possible that your antivirus software incorrectly classified us (false positive) and is blocking requests to our servers. You can follow the steps for your specific antivirus software to make an exception for Gamma.

Popular antivirus software and their instructions for exceptions:

Firewall blocking

If you are connected to the internet behind a firewall, it's possible that requests to Gamma are being blocked. To determine if this is the case, try the following:

  1. Temporarily disable the firewall and try connecting to Gamma

  2. Try connecting to Gamma via on a different network (e.g. tether your phone connection)

If you determine that it is your firewall blocking Gamma, you should be able to follow the steps for your specific firewall to allow Gamma.

Issues caused by browser extensions

Occasionally browser extensions can cause unexpected behavior. If you are experiencing unexpected issues, please try in a browser without any extensions, or a different device altogether.

Other steps to try

  • Clear your browser’s cache and cookies.

  • Wait a few minutes before trying again.
