What is the Export Feature in Gamma?

Exporting in Gamma allows you to download a version of your gamma for offline use, sharing, or presenting in external tools like PowerPoint. You can export the full gamma or individual cards.

Available formats include:

  • PDF

  • PNG

  • PowerPoint (PPTX)

  • Google Slides (via PPTX upload)

  • Post directly to LinkedIn

You can access the export menu in two ways:

  1. Click the "Share" button at the top right, then select "Export"

  2. Or, click the three dots (...) in the top-right corner, then click "Export"

Step 2: Choose Your Format

Once the export menu opens:

Export Limitations and Visual Differences

Gradient Headings

  • Gradient headings may render differently or default to a single colour in exports

  • This is due to how third-party tools (like PowerPoint and PDF readers) handle gradients

Fonts

  • Some fonts may not appear as expected unless installed on your computer

Troubleshooting: Why Can’t I Export My Gamma?

1. Network Issues

  • Weak or unstable internet may interrupt the export

  • Try switching networks or exporting again later

2. Gamma is Too Long

  • Extremely long gammas may fail to export

  • Try splitting it into smaller sections, exporting each, and merging externally

3. Image-Heavy Content

  • Large or numerous images may cause exports to fail or render incorrectly

  • Try compressing images or replacing with screenshots to reduce file size

FAQs & Common Issues

Why doesn’t my export match the editing view?

  • Exports reflect Present Mode, so layout or styling may differ slightly from the edit view.

Can I export to PDF without the watermark?

  • Only Plus and Pro users can export without the Gamma watermark.

Will I be notified when the export is ready?

  • Yes, you will receive a download and an email copy of the exported file.
